It’s official – Apple’s flagship phone, the iPhone 15, is cheaper to repair than its predecessor. At least, when it comes to the phone’s back glass.
Get Phone Repairs has obtained UK and US repair prices from Apple that confirm the new back glass used on the new model is cheaper to replace.
Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max may come at a premium when it comes to buying one, but getting it fixed is now a lot cheaper than the Pro Max 14.
A new list of repair prices has been obtained by Get Phone Repairs for both the UK and US, which shows that an iPhone 15 Pro Max back glass replacement costs just £199 ($199). That’s a big difference compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max which costs £559 ($559).
It’s a similar story for the iPhone 15 Pro – this model’s back glass costs £169 ($169) to be replaced while the iPhone 14 Pro back glass costs £519 ($519).
The standard iPhone 15 remains unchanged costing £169 ($169). That’s the same for the iPhone 15 Plus which costs £199 ($199). That’s exactly the same as their iPhone 14 counterparts.

The reduced repair costs will help those Apple fans who insist on Apple-only repairs.
What’s more, it brings the total repair cost of the handset down.
Apple has long bundled together back glass and screen repairs, offering a reduced cost if you get both replaced at the same time. That continues with the iPhone 15 and you’ll be pleased to know that it’s a lot cheaper than the iPhone 14 bundled repairs.
The cost to repair an iPhone 15 Pro Max screen and back glass is just £509 ($499). The iPhone 15 Pro costs £449 ($429) for the same service.
Compared to the iPhone 14 that’s a dramatic saving. The iPhone 14 Pro Max screen and back glass repair costs £669 ($649) while the iPhone 14 Pro costs £619 ($599) for the same repair.
And that’s not all – it brings down the total handset repair cost, too.
Adding all available repair services together, at the very cheapest the iPhone 15 Pro Max costs £873 ($847) to get fixed. That includes a new screen, battery, back glass, and rear camera.
Compared to the iPhone 14 that’s a lot cheaper – the iPhone 14 Pro Max costs £983 ($967) for the same repairs.
